25/05/2021: French Polynesia obtains the international certification “Safe Travels by WTTC”

On April 7, 2021, The Islands of Tahiti obtained the international “Safe Travels” certification issued by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), a mark of recognition for the high quality of its strategic and operational protocols for the management of human health and safety issues in the Polynesian tourism industry.

The “Safe Travels” certification, launched in May 2020 in response to the pandemic, was designed to help restore traveller confidence and revive the global travel and tourism industry. Recognised globally, it allows travellers to distinguish destinations that have adopted globally standardised health and hygiene protocols and are therefore eligible for “Safe Travels”.

The “Safe Travels” certification is supported by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and is designed in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Tahiti, Le Coco’s becomes La Plage: “Bistronomic” Cuisine

A change of concept for the restaurant Le Coco’s on Tahiti! After 11 years of “classic” gastronomic cuisine, Le Coco’s is now La Plage, with a menu that skilfully combines bistro and gastronomic cooking, enhanced by a Polynesian touch. As for the atmosphere, the restaurant has opened itself onto the ocean: the garden has given way to a white sand beach, while a large deck advances along the waterfront. The terraces and interiors have also been renovated and redecorated in a bright and chic style.

Lunch (2 course) and dinner (3 course) available for pre-sale now include a cocktail and wine, and the new menu is currently being created.

The concept has changed, but the staff remain the same!
