How to get to Bora Bora: Bora Bora is 270 km northwest of Tahiti. The airport is on Moty Mute, at the northern edge of the lagoon; transfers are offered to and from the Vaitape quay on two large catamaran ferries. There is a shuttle bus from the quay to the hotels and pensions at Marira Point but it has to be booked in advance by Tahiti Voyages.
