About Le Tahiti By Pearl Resorts

Situated in the Bay of Matavai in the north of the island, a 10-minute drive from the center of Papeete, the Tahiti Pearl Beach enjoys a unique location by Lafayette Beach, the only black volcanic sand beach of the island of Tahiti. From July to November, the Bay of Matavai becomes a great spot for whale watching, as humpback whales make their annual migration along the coast. All the rooms, Deluxe, Premium, Suite and Apartments, face the ocean, and some have a Jacuzzi. The Spa offers Polynesian-inspired treatments such as black sand body scrub, and massages using traditional local Monoï oil. There is also a fitness center and weekly yoga and meditation classes. The restaurant and bar serve local and international classics, and every Thursday there is a Tahitian Dance performance not to be missed. Visit the onsite pearl shop for a souvenir, relax by the infinity pool, hop on the free shuttle to the city center or book one of the activities at the tour desk, the options are endless.

Why we recommend it: Unique location only ten minutes from downtown Papeete; Historical location; The longest natural sandy beach; Sanctuary for humpback whales; Dolphins; Awarded Spa; Immersion in the local culture; Arts and crafts market; Rooms with a view; Botanical garden.
