About InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa

Ideally located a short drive to Papeete and the international airport, the Intercontinental Tahiti Resort & Spa is the largest luxury resort on the island of Tahiti. The resort offers two freshwater infinity pools with beautiful views of the island of Moorea: the Lotus, an 800 m2 sand-bottomed pool, and the Te Tiare, a 1200 m2 swimming pool with a Jacuzzi and cascades. The InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa is home to Le Lagoonarium, a natural aquarium built to help guests discover the diversity, beauty and fragility of French Polynesia’s reef: a protected ecosystem for a variety of species such as parrot fish, Picasso fish, corals, shells and tropical sea creatures. Sports activities can be booked through the concierge at the resort: from volleyball to tennis, water-based sports or cultural activities. The resort also stages daily cultural demonstrations such as pareo dyeing, handicrafts, shell and flower necklace-making or basket weaving. Standard, Superior, Panoramic, Overwater bungalows and Suite, all decorated in elegant Polynesian-inspired style, are spread across the garden and around the lagoon. With 3 restaurants and 2 bars, there is no shortage of dining options onsite. The spa and wellness centre are managed by the international spa chain Deep Nature. The fitness centre is equipped with state-of-the art equipment.

Why we recommend it: The Perfect Island Escape; Spectacular views of the island of Moorea; Stunning overwater gourmet restaurant.
